NIAB are currently looking for a 1st/2nd line technician to join our ever developing and close-knit team to assist with the day-to-day tickets and request but to also way in on the never ending projects to develop the IT provided to the 400+ employees at NIAB.
NIAB are looking for a confident and eager-to-learn technician who will be willing to get stuck in with the senior members of the team and to make a great impression to uphold the reputation of support across all sites.
Essential
- Someone who is able to work well within a team and when needed, to be able to work independently
- Must have a Full UK Driving license
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience working within an IT Support/Helpdesk capacity
- Experience in navigation O365 & Active directory
- Experience with hardware repairs
- Skilled in problem solving
- Independent thinking but able to escalate where necessary
- Customer service driven and well versed with end user communications
- Experience with both cloud based and on prem server solutions
- Experience with imaging, setup and supporting of Laptop & mobile devices (Windows, Android)
- Experience with Asset Management
- Experience with MFA (preferably Cisco DUO)
- A willingness to learn and develop
- Prepared to travel to UK Regional sites (sometimes at short notice)
- Organisation skills – time management with keeping to appointments within the team and with end users. Also being able to work within flexible work hours
Desirable
- Professional computing qualification or degree in computing science or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with Linux, MAC OS & IOS
- Knowledge/Experience in mimecast
- Knowledge/experience with Mitel/MiCollab
- Knowledge/experience with Papercut
- Knowledge/experience with Sharepoint/OneDrive
