An established professional services company located in Stoke on Trent is seeking a 2nd/3rd Line Service Desk Engineer to join their growing team. As a 2nd/3rd Line Engineer, you will serve as the escalation point within a supportive team, ensuring top-notch service delivery to the company’s clients for smooth operation and reliability of their IT systems.
Responsibilities:
- Addressing 2nd/3rd line support queries via phone, email, or on-site visits.
- Monitoring and optimizing server performance.
- Resolving hardware and software issues.
- Installing and configuring new systems.
- Providing technical support to customers.
- Contributing to project work, including migration projects.
- Mentoring team members.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in 2nd/3rd line support.
- Proficiency in network and server support.
- Strong understanding of networking principles.
- Familiarity with storage, backup, VMWare/Hyper-V, and Cyber Security.
- Knowledge of O365, Azure, Exchange, Intune, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
