An established professional services company located in Stoke on Trent is seeking a 2nd/3rd Line Service Desk Engineer to join their growing team. As a 2nd/3rd Line Engineer, you will serve as the escalation point within a supportive team, ensuring top-notch service delivery to the company’s clients for smooth operation and reliability of their IT systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Addressing 2nd/3rd line support queries via phone, email, or on-site visits.
  • Monitoring and optimizing server performance.
  • Resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Installing and configuring new systems.
  • Providing technical support to customers.
  • Contributing to project work, including migration projects.
  • Mentoring team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in 2nd/3rd line support.
  • Proficiency in network and server support.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles.
  • Familiarity with storage, backup, VMWare/Hyper-V, and Cyber Security.
  • Knowledge of O365, Azure, Exchange, Intune, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
